D +7

Today has been quite miserable for Oliver. He has been very grumpy all day. We don't know whether he is just fed up of being in this room or he is feeling a bit yucky.

I think its taking its toll on us all and today seems very flat. No improvement in his counts apart from his platelets but no surprise there as we have a good 2 weeks to wait for his counts to come back up.

His platelet count is 116K today so he is holding on to them at least for a few days.

The rash is still there and we are just making sure it doesn't get infected.

No other news really, will update tom.

Come on Debs/Dave, you've probably hit a plateau and things will start moving along again soon. I think that Oliver is doing really well, being couped up with no chance of escape for now and it's heavy going for you both as it's 24/7 round the clock. Keep the faith and hang in there. Connor took around 2 weeks to start moving forward so I would guess Olivers on track. Everything seems to be going well from what you say, so remember it takes more muscles to smile! Keep posting, love to all and a big kiss for Oliver xxxxx Auntie Sue & Uncle Geoff xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dave and Debbie,
We found Oliver's Journey on the web. Our son's (Hunter) story is eerily close to being the same. We are so thankful you are sharing your experience as we are not far benind you in the process. We will continue to follow Oliver's blog daily.
Our son's blog is www.hunterbonnet-taylor.blogspot.com.
We wanted to reach out and let you know that you're not alone. We are wishing Oliver and you all the best and a successful recovery.
Kind regards,
Rhea and Patrick (L.A., CA, U.S.A.)

Hi Debbie, Dave and our little friend Oliver,
I'm sure its because he's fed up being in the room that must seem forever for him. You were only saying on Wednesday how quickly the days are racing by, and i'm sure by Monday you'll feel the pace again when you consider you shall have been there for three weeks!
I hope they can give him something for his rash, being bored will only exaggerate his need to itch.
We miss you all terribly and Gigi especially misses Oliver, (she asked if she could go and play with his toys to feel next to him the other day)! I couldn't believe her cheek, but she understood when I explain why not.
I hpoe Oliver's appetite continues to grow. You've come along way and we are so proud of you all.
In our thoughts and prayers, Tracey, Richard, Gigi, Pips and Olivia xxxxx
